I have a polaroid 8"

Hello
The battery you use may be new, but haven't enough current capacity to supply the DVD player. DVD players will take much more current in ampears. Check if voltage drops when your DVD player works. You can check it with the help of a multimeter, set to measure voltage. Fist check the battery voltage. Keep the probs of the multimeter connected to the battery terminals, switch on your DVD player, and check whther the voltage drops to a considerable rate. That is, if the voltage at no-load condition is 12VDC, it may go down upto 11.5VDC, and no more drop must be there. If it is so, make sure that the battery is bad. OK.

My Poloroid DVD will play the Commercial DVDs like Fiox & Hound and Stuart Little, but suddenly will not play the 30 minute PBS Kids Songs DVDs and the Little Einstein Dvds-they played fine before, but I...

I read the other people's problems with the same type DVD player and discovered that the player is only covered by a 30 day warranty...and it would cost more to fix than it is worth. I will just never buy another Poloroid......a lesson learned! I will use our laptop to play the 30 minute DVD's that the player won't play and when the player dies, it dies!
