G600 keypad not working

I have a Samsung G600, had never had a problem with it before. its 7 months old now.

one minute all keys were working the next all all of the keys stopped working & have not done for 2 days. the only button that will work is the on/off button.
the sliding lock/unlock feature for the keypad is working fine -just the keys not working. keypad lights up etc but when a button is pushed nothing happens, as if its all frozen.
have checked buttons & no are pushed in etc

any ideas or solutions to this problem?!!!

Take your phone to your local market & ask any market phone repair vendor to fit a new keepad membrane, if this doesn't work it's trobably irriparable damage either caused by water or the fumes of some kind of solvent for example super glue.

Just got a Samsung g600, Under settingd I dont have 'sound settings' as with previous samsung fone. This means that I cannot assign a ring tone for text messages I cant find any way to do this. I also...

Hi, for anyone still having this problem with the newer Samsung phones, I just solved the issue I posted up earlier.

To disable keypad tones, but keep your ringtone etc active, go to Profiles -> edit your 'Normal' profile.
Press right on the selection pad twice to get to phone-related settings. Scroll down to the bottom of that page of settings to the 'Phone sound volume' option, select it and adjust it to zero.

This will turn off all keypad noises and other irritating beeps while not actually turning your phone on to 'silent mode', which would disable your ringtone etc.

Hope this helps, I know I was going insane with this phone until I figured out how to turn those sounds off.

Keypad freeze

Did the key pad froze before you took the battery off? If so, it mean the keypad is damaged. If you have insurance, you may call customer service and have it replaced for a new one.

If it frozed after you shoot it off, you might call customer service from another phone and they might help you to unlock your phone.

Phone lock needs unlocking - samsung g600

switch the phone on without a sim card,
type in *2767*2878# WAIT for it to reset,
once it boots up itself, the phone code is now gone,
if the phone is asking for a SIM LOCK password
then send it to someone who has the equipment to unlock it
