install the nav desk software to you p.c and connect the navman to the pc via the usb cable.
You will be prompted that a map upgrade is available through the NavDesk software. Once the unit has synchronized with the NavDesk software you will be informed that a later map is available. Once you select the map data, it will begin to download to your computer.

Assuming you have NavDesk already installed on your computer, you have to open the NavDesk software/program. Once the software recognize the device, you will be prompted if an update is available. Then follow the prompt to update the map/application.
Hi,
Forgive me if you've tried this already, but the Navdesk options only seem to all appear when the unit is connected to the pc. (via USB) Without the unit connected you get about 4 options in the menu down the right side of the sceen. As for the traffic. I had the same problem and still have..! I only get traffic info about 10% of the time..I called navman support and they suggested i download the latest update. its on the navman web site. (about 145Mb). I haven't tried it as yet. I reckon it's either the reception or the unit is naff..
hope this helps..
