SOURCE: Hotpoint RVM1425BA-003 Microwave Oven Stovetop Light Does Not Work

The problem is almost certainly on the control panel, which we repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This often can affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inopoerable or stuck on.

If you or a friend decide to look into it, we have critical safety information, info on door switch diagnosis and replacement, and

disassembly information at our site, linked here on Fixya: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

Samsung Microwave Oven SMH7159 No Power

The power outage may have been accompanied with a power surge. That can happen with lightning strikes, or if a large inductor (electric motor or equivalent) happened to be on the same power line at the time of the outage. There's a good chance a surge took out the control panel.

NO POWER! WALL OUTLET ENERGIZED. 20AMP FUSE GOOD. HELP

Not a solution, just a safety measure. Please keep this unit unplugged until you find a solution for safety's sake. You didn't mention the brand, but some ovens have been starting on their own while the owner is away and causing an explosion and a house fire.

My Hotpoint microwave oven just shut off while it was being used. Now there is no power at all. Could it be a fuse? How do I replace it if it's the case?

Dead appliance, power on wall outlet.

    YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!

Attempt this only if you are competent.

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.
    Hope this helps.

Power quite one day it lost power like curcuit broke there is power to the outlet

If there was a power outage, and then your microwave oven never came back on. Then it could be a possible fuse problem. If the circuit breaker had tripped, then after you turned off the cir. brkr. and turned it back on, then everything should've worked fine. Again, I would lean towards a blown fuse in your microwave. Now you're saying there's power to the outlet, and it still won't go on? Then my easy solution would be to plug it into another outlet, and try it again. Your problem could be that plug. After doing everything I just suggested, at any time did you get a digital readout on your time display in the upper right hand corner of the oven. Basically, is there any lights on at all when you're plugged into the wall. If not, then the problem is in the microwave itself! It could be just as simple as a blown fuse, but I would like you to try these other alternatives first. Feel free to contact me again if these don't work. Good Luck, and I hope I've helped you some. Microwave has no power

Is the outlet ok? Can you plug somethng else into the outlet to see if the fuse or breaker controlling the outlet is ok? If there is power at the outlet, unplug the unit and remove the outside cover.
Look for a blown fuse on the motherboard. Replace it with the EXACT value of the original fuse. You can purchase a new fuse at Radio Shack or hardware store or auto parts store. Try powering up the unit again and see if it works now or whether the fuse blows again. If it blows again, the power supply may have been damaged. Was this a power outage or surge? Was anything else in your home affected?
