I downloaded a new theme in my nokia 5220..... It did initially changed into itS new lookS but aFter 30 Seconds or so the phone restarted and juSt ShowS a white background whick keepS blinking every 3 or...

The theme "installer" is in your memory card, but themes can only be installed in the phone's internal memory. So, you better change that theme. IF you can get your phone to start, change the theme to any of the default themes and then delete the theme you downloaded.

How can i put a themes in my nokia n95 8gb?

Hi
Before installing any software go to
Menu> App.Manager> Options> Settings> Software Installation

In Software Installation make it ALL. This change is important, otherwise you will get an Error message Certificate Error. Contact the application supplier while installing most freeware

Also, if you see that some old themes are giving the Expired Certificate error, simply change the date of your phone to year either 2005 or 2006 or 2007 (check all as each theme has a different expiry) before installing the theme. After installation you can change back to today's date.
Now, here is the way to install themes and other applications in your Nokia . I use the USB Cable to do the installations.
1. First install the Nokia PC Suite software on your computer from the CD which you recieved with your Nokia
2. After Nokia PC Suite is installed in your PC, connect the Nokia to the PC with the USB cable which was provided in the box.

3. When the USB cable is connected, Nokia PC Suite will recognise that a phone is connected. You will then see an option on your phone?s screen asking if you want to connect via PC Suite or Data Transfer. Choose PC Suite.

4. Now, simply download the .sis or .java files (themes & applications) to your computer and Right Click on it with your mouse. You will see an option saying Install With Nokia Application Installer

5. Click Yes on the PC, and then Yes & Continue on the Phone when you see the prompts.
6. The phone will then ask you if you want to Install the Theme or Application in the Phone Memory or Memory Card.
I strongly recommend Installing themes in the Phone Memory! This helps in avoiding complications later on when Uninstalling.

When I first bought the Nokia N95, I made a mistake which a lot of new S60 3rd Edition users make, that is, I installed the Themes in the Memory Card instead of the Phone Memory. This was a huge mistake!
There is a bug in the Operating System of all S60 3rd Edition phones, due to which, if the theme is installed in the Memory Card, it cannot be deleted or removed, as it then does not show up in the Application Manager.
Ever since that mistake, I have made sure to always install themes and softwares in the Phone Memory, instead of the memory card. Yes, it eats up space on the phone, but it's worth it, as then it is easily removed as well.
And that's it, the theme or application is now installed!

Thanks for using Fixya.

HOW TO DO A THEME?

To install themes you have 2 methods available :

Method 1 - Using Memory Card Reader
  1. Remove the memory card from your nokia mobile phone.
  2. Insert it in to your memory card reader and plug memory card reader into your PC.
  3. Locate the free nokia theme file from your PC.
  4. Copy the free nokia theme file from your PC and paste it onto your memory card.
  5. Remove the memory card and reinsert it to your nokia mobile phone.
  6. Locate the file on your mobile phone and click to install.
Mehod 2 - Using Bluetooth

  1. On your nokia mobile phone, select Menu.
  2. Copy the free nokia theme file from your PC and paste it onto your memory card.
  3. Remove the memory card and reinsert it to your nokia mobile phone.
  4. Locate the file on your mobile phone and click to install.

First of all you need to pair your nokia mobile phone and PC. Pairing devices allow theme to communicate and transfer files. On your mobile phone, select Menu >> Tools >> Bluetooth and turn it on and ensure 'my phones visibility' is set to 'all'. Now click on the bluetooth icon on your PC and select 'Pair device'. Your PC will now scan for other bluetooth devices, once it's found your phone, hit continue. Your PC will now give you a code to enter in to your mobile phone, enter this code when prompter by your mobile.

Now, to install the theme.

  1. Locate the theme on your PC
  2. Right click and choose 'sent to > bluetooth device'.
  3. From the list, choose your mobile phone and hit send.

You'll now receive a message on your phone, click it to install.

As for finding themes you can google themes for this model, and you'll find a multitude of hits for free and premium (ie pay for) themes.

How do get new software for nokia 3110c and how do flash the software of nokia 3110c and when i hear a song it will switch of automatically

Flash box is used for Java based phones and is available in the market and is costly
http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update
from the above link you can mannually download and install the firmware updates.
OrDownload and install NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER which is also provided in the above link and follow instructions in it and is simple to use.
The above procedures are done cautious and is better to done by an expert otherwise a simple mistake will make your phone dead
Your problem is automatic switch offsolutions------------
1.Free atleast 3MB of phone memory2.If you are using 512MB card ,it may be a problem.Try to use 1GB card.3.Do not overload the phone memory and memory card with lot of items4.Try to keep only 5 folders in main window of memory card and move other items to these 5 folders.5.Try retore to factory settings (menu>settings>restore factory settings)6.The restarting is due to virtual memory overloading and the phones virtual memory is shared from phone memory itself. So keep 3MB of phone memory free and if you are able to free more it will increase overall performance of phone7.Do not apply heavy themes.Use only themes of size not exceeding 25KB.The default nokia theme is good for phones performance

The themes i install, arent there in the app manager,so cant b deleted, and keep dissapearing from the theme menu...solve this for now!

I don't know if you do already, but you should install the themes to the phone memory. They will then show up in the app manager where they can be removed.

If not, the solution below will solve your problem.
1. Connect your nokia to a computer via USB cable
2. Select 'Mass Storage' on phone
3. Browse to phone / memory card
4. Show hidden file and folders
5. Themes are installed in the 'Private' folder, here you can delete them manually.
