If you mean the led-indicator lights typically placed on a row with small icons engraved in the plastics assigned to each light, normally the battery led-light indicator will glow if the power adapter is connected to the laptop, some devices may have a network led indicator, which might glow if a tele-wire or RJ-45 cable is connected to a network port. If the 'sleep indicator' (typically a moon-shaped symbol) is glowing it means that the device is in sleep or hibernate mode, and not properly shut down.
Hi, Disconnect your ac adaptor from the laptop and remove the battery for about 30mins. Then keep power button pressed for about 10 seconds. Now fit install the battery and the power lead, wait for the mains led to liight which should also show the battery led as being charged, after 20 seconds, power up the laptop.
It should now power up, if not check if any flashing leds are present and if the lcd screen tries to light up.
It probably might be a loose 'memory' issue. I would suggest you to take the laptop to the Lenovo Service center and if the issue is same as I suspected they should fix this in just 5 minutes and might not even charge you anything.
Please do not take the laptop to any other service center other than the Authorized one.
First tip is disconnect the battery and Adapter, hold down the power button for 30 sec. and the insert your battery and adapter and try starting. Let me know is this works or I can suggest something else.
This iue might be with RAM only so please open the chamber on the bottom(after checking manual, there will be two screw only) and once refix it.If not then get it checked by any hardware expert.
so u;re saying that the BIOS tests are taking 10 minutes ?! Usually that happenes when the computer shutes down brutally (after power surges, by removing the battery ... by forced shut down). Try doing a BIOS update, and also set it so it will skip some tests or not to do through testing ....
