C13c8 providing malfunction code c-13c8 after replacing the transfer belt , what should we do now ???

C360 error: "Replace Image Transfer Belt Unit"

The error message under that title is "Have the image transfer belt replaced soon." It's a new unit, but resists doing the Gradation Adjust. Tried returning the old belt (which was working before the replacement) and error message remains, so apparently the problem is not with the new belt.

System Error Clear (System 1 -> Initialization) gives "Result: OK" but has no effect; the problem remains after machine restart. However, it does NOT at any time give L-5 error (Transfer belt unit accumulated rotation time excess warning), just continues to say "replace image transfer belt unit", and will not allow anything else to proceed. What am I missing? (Transfer belt clutch malfunction?

A new installation is not detected when a new Transfer Cleaner Unit (Image Transfer Belt Unit) is installed.

Did you get some 3rd party transfer belt get a OEM and replace it.

The error code refer Transfer belt separation.Check the transfer belt unit.

The transfer belt does not have a new cleaning unit attached to it. That would be the end with out the handles, get a new transfer belt that is completely new

this is the error code for the image transfer belt pressure retraction failure to reset error code with the machine turned on open and close the front door if error comes back will have to replace either the transfer belt or the belt pressure motor

SC403: Transfer belt position sensor error

-Definition-
The transfer belt position sensor does not activate even if the transfer belt clutch has rotated once.

- Possible causes -
• Main motor/drive malfunction
• Transfer belt position sensor defective
• Poor transfer belt position sensor connection

According to the manual, provided there isn't a major problem with the machine, you can reset the service code by turning off the MAIN POWER switch for a 10-seconds and then turning it back on. This should reset the code provided the problem doesn't reoccur. NOTE: The main power switch is a rocker switch on the front or left side of the machine, not a push-button switch up on the control panel.

Probably not a big help, but hopefully at least a little. I can't offer you much better advice, as I don't work on machines of this age, sorry.

that is a transfer belt error. transfer belt not moving away from the drum during ID sensor pattern check.possible main motor/ drive malfunction, trans. belt position sensor problem.

it seems that it the you transfer belt. to be sure, take the old one into the copier, swith off th copier, with 10 seconds or more, then swith on. the error code will disappear :-)
