Running a configuration report from the printer can help out any Tech who doesn't have time to go to every printer in the building. Hp's are great machines btw. Config reports should be in the manual or any Office manager really should know this very helpful tool. One quick fix I've done is always check the Ethernet cable both ends, on the printer side a green light [flickering at times] should be on when the wall side is communicating Hope this helps~~~~
Clear the paper jam... Also make sure all the pick up rollers are not smooth, if they are replace them. Also make sure the tray is set to the right paper and not offset. A lot of times people slam the tray and it moves the setting bar.

Follow the send and receive menus to set what you need to.
