How do i get a vcr to work without a remote - Sylvania 6419TA 19" TV

Answer #1: You can get up out of your chair walk over to your TV & VCR player and
Turn it ON then Insert a VCR Tape then Turn on the TV,Hit the Play Button
on your VCR Then go back and set in your Chair AND ENJOY the Movie.
When the Movie is Finished You do the same thing all over again Except in Reverse. I do this every time I want to watch a Movie. Answer #2:You
can go to the Electronics Store and Purchase A VCR Or DVD Player that Does Have a Remote or Just Buy a Universal Remote for about $10.00 it has all the codes for all TV's, VCR & DVD Players in the Package. I sure hope that one of these Answers is of some Help. Good Luck!

I don't know of any VCR that doesn't operate without a remote. If you have a remote and it doesn't work it, then it could be either a faulty remote or a faulty remote sensor. Sometimes people put something in the way of the sensor so that the signal from the remote never reaches the VCR.

Sometimes the codes used in the remote are the wrong type for your model VCR. Though functions will work with some codes. It's best to try some of the other codes for GE VCR's and see if that triggers it to life the missing menu.

Have a Sharp VC-H810 vcr without remote. Is there a way tosiP, SP etc without a remote on the vcr? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately if there is no menu option to do that or button on the VCR you will need one of these remote controls

Can not get universal remote to work

Looks to me like you didn't need a new remote as the old one was working fine, it's just that the VCR remote censor has a fault on it. Or to put it simply it's the vcr that doesn't work, not your remotes.

you might try going to channel 00
If you cannot just dial the number 00, go to channel 2 and then channel down.
Does not always work, but without the model number of the TV it is hard to advise further

Problem with old TV

The channel is almost always 3 or 4. Be sure you have the VCR connections correct. Just hook up the TV and VCR alone to start with and try both the VCR and DVD. Also the output of the VCR should show a blue screen.
