Hdtv-dlp has no sound or picture

My tv hdtv-dlp has no sound or picture. When I turn the tv on the lamp light comes on and flashes for about 45 seconds to 1 minute then the lamp light shuts off but there is no picture or sound on the tv. I can access the menu, change the channels, and lower and raise the volume. but when I go to the tv/video button, when I try to scroll down from attenna it will not move. I have my dvd hooked up to video 1 connection but it is not recognizing it. The tv also will not turn off by the power button, I have to unplug the tv for the power to shut off. If anyone has any solutions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so very much.

Sound but no picture - won't stay on

you may check your lamp first. other than that i would say a faulty mains board.

Hdtv-dlp has no sound or picture

this sounds like a dmd board problem. these are digital modules attached to the light engines usually. samsung, rca, hitachi, have shown similiar symptoms. some units have capacitors on the boards that can be replaced, but these are dual-layer pcb's that are tough to unsolder without proper soldering iron temperature and good small gauge solder-wick. or solder pump tool. the electolytic caps. are usually 1000uf / 10v, 330uf / 10v, or 470uf / 10v. alot of the time the capacitors will "vent" or swell-up on top which helps spot faulty component. we always increase voltage rating to 16v-25v for more reliable operation. always use 105 degrees high- temperature replacement caps.

Sony Grand Wega 55" LCD ml # KDF-55WF655 goes protective shutdown

This is the lamp going bad. For some reason, it doesn't spit out that lamp error, it just keeps refiring the lamp and it just cycles forever. When the lamp totally fails, you will get the lamp led lit. Replace the lamp to resolve.

Black screen with a Blinking lamp in the front

Hi..if your lamp is on but no picture, then your lamp is good. Your problem is the DMD board (digital mirror display board) is bad. This is very common with Samsung DLP.
