Need serial number for replacement keys
There should be a sticker on the frame behind the headlight or number plate at the "neck" of the frame. The serial number is the big long one.

The serial number IS the V.I.N. goof ball(Solution # l ). US DOT did not require full 17 digits VIN until 81-82 on motorcycles. A knowledgeable Yamaha dealer can look this up. 1974 Yamaha TX500A.
