Champion Juicer stopped working

I believe moisture from the juicing pulp has gotten through the rubber seal. I recently paid $60AUD to get it fixed at a repair shop, for the same reason. I can't afford to be constantly forking out this sort of money for such an important appliance in my house. Does anybody here, know how to unscrew that round thing in the front where the juice has been getting through to the motor, and then how to clean out the juice that is obviously affecting the motor inside, causing the motor to 'cut out'? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Juicee

My champion juicer stopped juicing and it stopped grinding grains. It sounds like the motor is ok. Jean

Hi I had the same problem yesterday and emailed Champion Juicer about the problem here's their reply below, his suggestion worked. Hello Duane, Your machine is equipped with a magnetic start system which will only allow the machine to start when you have the screenholder all the way in place just as you would have it to start juicing. If you do not have any parts on the machine it will not start. Please assemble it again and give it a try. If it still wont start call me at 209-369-2154 for further assistance. Thank you Carl

I have a Champion Juicer. This morning it won't come on? This has happened before, something to do with how the screen is placed into the motor. Can't seem to get the machine to click on this time. Anyone with any advice?

Ditto #2. If your juicer won't start, tape a small magnet to the base of the front hub. The magnet in my screenholder had fallen out, as it's quite old.

Also, once reassembly is complete and metal connections between inside circular aperture of screen holder and base are clean (I scraped with knife to make sure), do NOT allow any metal to come between bottom lip of holder and base, there seems to be a magnetic strip there which cuts motor off. I had a metal mixing bowl there to catch juice just high enough to intrude-- once i removed this, machine worked fine.

Hi, i had a simmilar problem with my grain mill attachment. the solution for me is to hold a magnet at the base of the hub, apparently there was a manget on the grain mill piece that fell off.

Almost ready to save up for another Champion Juicer. We were so sad, and missed our juice today. After my husband took the whole thing apart we read these posts, put it all together (with the screen) and it turned right on. Thank you so much.

I purchased a Champion Juicer on line a year ago Model G5-PG-710 and the switch when placed on the on position did not turn on the machine. I juice vegatables only and it is quite disconforting that this juicer almost new does not work. After reading the posts, I was so thankful for the information I took the juicer apart and put it together again and it turned on.

SOURCE: pulp gets stuck in Champion

Feed it slower. Mix up the items, it likes things mixed up. You can add water near the end to clean it out.

Pulp is building up, not ejecting properly

When juicing with the champion juicer take it slow. You need to hold down the tamper for three to five seconds in-between reloading the chute. Otherwise it will begin to back up through the chute and the juicer will begin to heat up. Happy juicing! LivingaHealthyandHappyLife.com

My champion juicer just stopped working. Makes no sound at all when I flip the switch. Any ideas?

Championjuicer.com sells replacement switches. Order the oil seal and o-ring too to save on shipping. Newer models have a safety cut off that does not allow the juicer to turn on unless all parts are properly positioned.

Champion Juicer leaking a lot; from screen holder!

I'm having the same problem, the blank screen just doesn't fit the main body that well (I think the body on mine may have been warped by someone putting it in the dishwasher). Since I'm only going to be using my Champion as a front-end for a hydraulic press, I bought some food-grade silicone sealant (from McMaster-Carr or EMI Supply) and I'm just going to permanently attach the blank screen to the juicer body and slide the screen holder over that. There's a new O-ring for the back where the body attaches to the motor that might be needed as well.

Juicer works fine until slight pulp build up in

Unfortunately, since these juicers do not eject the pulp, they will tend to go out
of balance. Juice nothing softer than apples and try to feed it as evenly and as
slowly as possible.

Motor won't work on Champion unless I press on part

it probably has developed a loos connection inside. Pressing on that part reconnects the loose connecion inside the machine. If you are someone with a good mechanical aptittude, you may open it and somehow make a hood connection again. The problem should be obvious, and straight forward to fix.
