If you updated the os on this phone to 4.5 they have been seeing issues with this problem happening on pearls using 4.5.

I have A Blackberry Pearl I can only hear if I use the head set or speaker any solutions the phone hasn't been dropped, I have taken the battery out and put it back in still cant hear unless I use handset or speaker

Sounds like it is bricked google pandora's battery so far that is the only way to unbrick one.
