WHEN I SET THE OVEN TEMPERATURE AND TIMER, MY FOOD IS NEVER COOKED ENOUGH. THE PANEL SHOWS THE HEAT TEMPERATURE RISING AND BEEPS WHEN IT SUPPOSEDLY REACHES THE SET DEGREES. I HAVE HAD FOOD IN FOR AN HOUR AND OTHER FOODS UP TO SIX HOURS AND NONE OF IT WAS READY TO EAT. COULD IT BE THE IGNITOR AND/OR IS THERE A TEMPERATURE SENSOR THAT COULD BE RESET OR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED? WHERE ARE THE IGNITOR AND SENSOR LOCATED? IS THIS SOMETHING THAT WE COULD DO OURSELVES? THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!
I read my wonderful "user's guide". In the section, Controls at a Glance, I found OVEN TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT OPTION & followed 5 easy sets. It worked!!!

Hi ,this is quite normal to see the grill element going on an off, in your oven as this is thermostatically controlled to ensure an even grill temperature for your food, once the grill area has reached the set temperature you selected, the element will switch off for a set period. until the air temperature goes below the setting. then switches back on again for a set time. it is easier to notice this action when the grill is on a low setting compared to a hot setting on hot settings you may see the element switching on and off more rapidly or staying on longer, than on low settings.
the switching on and off does not effect the average temperature in the oven so your food is still being grilled by residual heat from the grill element when is has switched to off for a while.
This system is used as it is easier to control and more effective to build the ovens to switch on and off rather than controlling the power level to the element. this activity does not mean your oven is defective or that any parts need replacing.
if you feel that your food is not being cooked efficiently then I would consider a specialist check the oven or give it an overhaul or service if needed.
