Fuse blew replaced it turned it on and started for about 5 to 10 secs and blew again i know its either the capacitor or transformer just tring to figure if theres a way to know for sure. Don't think there is any way to check the transformer.
SOURCE: I have a hotpoint microwave
If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.
If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.
GE / Hotpoint models usually have about a 2-second delay between the time you hit Start and the time the high voltage section turns on.
Here are some links you or someone you know can use for test help, but read their safety warnings first:

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383
There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.
