Bleeps and stops, indicating water tray needs emptied, it doesn't. I don't even look at the tray because its only been running for 10 minutes. Just pressing the go button, starts it for another 10-20 minutes.Bleeps and stops, indicating water tray needs emptied, it doesn't. when you try to start it again do you hear a humming comeing from the motor? can you jump start it by turning the drum while holding the start button? If you say yes to these questions you have a bad motor.
This is a pretty easy fix and I recently had the same problem. I made a quick video about it. The problem was the dryer was run only a few mins then quit. The dryer limit was tripping because the control thermostat was not shutting down the lower safety limit was tripping and the power from the control thermostat was diverted via the orange wire to the timer motor which kinda caused the main motor to stop. When i ran the dryer in NO HEAT the dryer stayed running and that was my clue as to what may of been happening and that was the problem in a nutshell. My video:
Hello , Sounds like your motor is over heating , it will run until the sensor shuts it down from getting to hot , it is most likley because the motor is covered in lint and needs cleaned. Hope that helps.
THE KENMORE DRYER I HAVE... IF REN IN THE COTTON CYCLE IT WILL RUN FOR 50 MINUTES AND SHUT OFF. ITS BOLWING HOT AIR AND THE OTHER CYCLES SEEM TO WORK FINE WITH OUT SHUTING DOWN SO ID APPRECIATE A TIP ON WHAT THIS PROBLEM COULD BE
