An external freq counter will always do a better test then the one on the unit . Do you have an oscilloscope? A function generator will also have a freq counter . Now the ultimate is a spectrum analyzer. you don't need all these but the function generator will work fine.
go to you tube and type in your radio make and model and watch the review on that radio there is a freq adjustment pod for ssb adjustment. they might tell you if not take it to a radio tech and he should be able to alighn it. there is more than one pod for ssb transmitt and receive.
Hi, my name is John. Welcome to FixYa.Take the cover off, power it back-up, then with a pencil eraser end, mash around on the circuit board, looking for cold solder joints and re-solder them with soldering iron. This should solve the problem for you. Thanks for choosing FixYa....John
mike has wiring problems. Check for breaks in cord and where the plug goes into the unit. If not original mike then has incorrect wiring for the radio and will need to be changed for config
