MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format.1st - You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music filesonto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them toyour MP3 player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.
There are also Freeware CD RIP programs on the Internet that add the musictitle and album title to the mp3 file automatically.
OR
Download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer, some sites willcost money to download these music files.
2nd - connect your MP3 player to your computer using the supplied USB cable. The computer will see this player as an external storage device, Just copy theMP3 music files from the computer's hard disk to the MP3 player.I suggest you create a album/title folder for each CD soyou can place the mp3 music files by that artist into that folder. Then copythese folders to your MP3 player and you will be able to select and play yourMP3 music by selecting the album you wish to play.
NOTE - When the USB cable is connected to the computer, it will also charge theMP3 player's battery.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Make sure your player is not active. Unplug it from your computer and turn it off. Now plug into your computer. Go to the start menu on your computer and select "run". Type in the port your unit is plugged into or use the dropdown and select. This should display your 705 contents. Highlight the file you want to delete, then right click and select delete. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Won't play music I copied-Coby c-582

I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

I'd like you to try something so that we can see if there is something wrong with your player. First, I'd like you to format your player. This will wipe it clean of any files that are on it. To format, follow these steps:

Step 1

Connect the unit to your computer via the USB port.
Step 2

Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop, or, click your start button and choose My computer from the right side of the start menu.

Step 3

Right-click the icon for the Coby player.

Step 4

Choose Format from the menu that appears, and choose quick format after that.

Step 5

You'll see a warning that formatting will erase all data on the drive. Click OK.

After this has been done, go to the MY MUSIC folder that is found by clicking MY DOCUMENTS on the start menu. Open the folder labeled sample music and copy and paste one of those songs into the player. Then disconnect the player and see if that one song will play.

If you're able to load a sample song as described above and it doesn't play on the player, unfortunately this would mean the unit is defective and needs to be replaced. It can not be fixed. The warranty is 90 days from the date of purchase. You will need a receipt for warranty exchange.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may better assist you. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!

It seems that the songs you are downloading in your MP3 player are not compatible with your MP3 player.
check the compatibility in the manual of your MP3 player.

Nextarm933a mp3 player cant get to play songs or download

When you download songs, save it first on your My Music folder for you to easily track the song list. Once you have successfully downloaded the songs, insert your MP3 Player. Format your MP3 Player first by right clicking the drive and click format. Once it is formatted, Copy the songs from your My Music folder then Paste it on your MP3 Player drive.
*Note: Try to play your saved song in your Windows Media Player if the song is working fine before you copy it on your MP3 Player.
Drop a comment if you still have questions. I would be happy assisting you.

Sakar or iConcepts mp3 not working????

Walmart and many other sites sells songs that are DRM encrypted, meaning they are copy protected. Your MP3 player will not play these unless it is DRM 9 / 10 compatable. The purchase license permits you to download and play in the first device, when copied to another device the DRM prohibits playback in the second device.

Deleting songs

Chances are that you are using windows xp. open up your sansa folder to where it says pictuer, movies, ect. look at the picture to see what to do. In your player folder click tools --> folder options --> View. Under hidden files and folders click 'show hidden files and folders, click ok. The music folder would now show up where the videos and pictures are. Simply open the music folder and delete the ones you do not want. By default the songs are sorted by artist --> album --> song.
