I formated my computer and reinstalled the printer software, now I find that the speed of printing does not at all match when the software was first installed.
If you recently updated programs you are printing from such as Adobe Acrobat, you may need to upgrade the physical memory of the printer to achieve good print speed.
Check your settings in software. When you click file, then print, click properties. software settings overwrite control panel settings. dpi also affects speed. Check paper size guides in paper tray and verify with software settings as well. Also verify if it is occurring with one particular document/program or from any other document/program. Update any program software with the latest version, patch, etc... If you have updated your printer driver software from what was originally used (ie using newer version or switched from PCL5 to PCL6 ) try downgrading. Remember whenever you change printer driver, you must uninstall/delete driver completely, reboot and then install new driver.
I saw in other post, possible solution for this. It may be that media size setting in printer driver is incorrect.
Try doing upgrades on the printer
