My Gas whirlpool dryer model # LGR7646EQ2 wil not heat up.

I tested the continuity on the "glow plug" or whatever you want to call it and its good. However I discovered there is no power going to it. The wire that supplies it comes from the motor and is red, then splits to black before it gets to it. Everything works fine except for not heating up. Any ideas would GREATLY be appreciated....Thanks

SOURCE: Whirlpool duet electric wil not heat

Remove 1 wire from the element . Your 220 V comes from ...110 motor , 110 control board . Check which wire is not getting 110 V , trace it and see which it comes from . That will tell you which one is defective .

SOURCE: Whirlpool Dryer not heating

The motor has to be running for voltage to exit the motor going to the heater. With the back off the dryer and the motor running you should read 220 volts at the heater if all safetys and thermostats are good.
There is a thermal cut out relay on the heat canister. It must read continuity also.
Remember you must remove at least one wire from each component being tested to get a true open or closed reading. If a wire is left connected you get a false reading.
The heating element could be broken and part of the heater wire touching the canister. This would cause a continuity reading and still no heat.
Finally, yes,the centrifugal switch in the motor could be bad and not sending power to the heater on the red wire.

Testimonial: "I did determine it to be the cetrepetal switch..specifically the slide for the weights was heavily gummed up with dryer belt dust. It works now."

Drum turns but does not heat the air. I replaced the ignitor, but no help there. Whirlpool gas dryer model 63003W0

If the ignitor glows but does not light the burner you need to replace the gas valve coils.
If there is no glow you must check all the thermostat safeties and thermal cutout fuses for continuity with a ohm meter. No continuity is a bad component. Remove at least one wire from each component before testing.
Unplug the dryer before any test.

Whirlpool gas dryer Model #WGD5530SQ0 not heating properly

If your dryer heats when you first turn it on and after a few minutes it does'nt. check the ignitor to see if it is glowing. It should glow bright then you will hear a click and the burner will light. If the ignitor glows bright but you hear a click but no flame and if you watch this for several minutes and this process continues of glow then glow goes out no flame, then you have a bad burner coil. There are 2 black solenoids sitting on top of gas valve. One of them is shorting out after it warms up. Replace both solenoids. You can usually get them as a kit from parts store.

No heat

Should be a cover about the size of a quarter on the front lleft bottom...pop off with a small screwdriver and start dryer....look inside and see if the glow bar lights up...if glow bright orange, probably good, may need gas solenoids or ignitor

There is no heat being produced

HI, Remove the front lower panel. Start the dryer and see if the ignitor glows. If it glows but the gas valve does not open, Change the coils on top of the gas valve.
If the ignitor does not glow, test the ignitor for 120V. If there is voltage to the ignitor but no glow, change the ignitor.
If there is no viltage to the ignitor, check continuity on the thermostats and the fuse that are located on the blower housing. Also test the sensor located on the burner.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
