How do I Unlock Ipod screen if I forgot the 4 digit password?

Hi I recently received an Ipod Nano from a friend and I set it up and everything worked great. I just locked the screen and I can't unlock it. I called my friend and he said that he forgot the 4 digit combination. Does anyone have a quick fix for this? i cant unlock my ipod touch it keep saying disable my daughter forgot the password she used and we tried the password she said she used and that didn't work I have no other solutions for this this is a new ipod what are other solutions to this it is a new product she got for christmas last year it has been locked and I am wanting to solution for this NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! I was just lk at the ipod and i wanted to click some thing eles and it went LOCK!. I was so pissed PLEASE HELP!!!!
