Laser printer not printing properly left side of page is very light, right side is normal, have tried redistributing toner and changing toner cartridge

    Hi
    Thanks for your reply.
The roller appears to be fine, if I am checking the right part? I checked it against one of the colour cartridges and they feel the same.
The 1st page I print starts off OK for about 1/3 of the page but by the bottom of the page it is very faint and the more pages I print the worse it gets. On the right hand side last 3cm stays dark (normal).
By the way the printer is 14 months old and I print approx. 50 pages a week.

I have the same problem. It started when I had a paper jam and removed the paper. Now the left side is light all the way frm top to bottom. This is the first laser printer I have purchased so I am a bit afraid to take it apart. It is a Samsung clp300

Have you checked the transfer roller that is when you place the cartridge...the cartridge sits on this roller inside the printer

Check to see that this roller is sitting properly...press the roller it should be spring loaded....

    please verify and reply

    cheers

Since you have changed the tone cartridges ...and it still does the same....

the next step is to check the transfer belt..transfer roller(this when hit by laser light stores the image and runs on the powder ink..the parts that have been created by the laser on the transfer belt is where the powder sticks)......remover the transfer belt roller and check to verify that its not worn out..its in the form of plastic paper more like Teflon.....view to see that it doesn't have severe markings...if its marked you will need to change the transfer belt to

If this doesn't fix the problem than you will need to change the laser scanner unit....

so basically its your cartridge...that provides color powder dust for image....
transferbelt...that transfers the image to the paper with the image being created by the laser scanner and the cartridge providing color

the last process is fussing ...heat is used to make stick the powder to the paper..and is done by the fusser unit...

as for your case the image is not either created by the scanner itself in the right manner..or the image is not properly created coz the transfer belt is worn out....

I suggest you replace the transfer belt next.

cheers!

White shade while taking print in left side

If you have a laser printer this can indicate that you are running out of toner. Try pulling out the old toner cartridge, shake it back and forth (not too vigorously) to redistribute the toner so that it is available across the entire sheet of paper, and reinstall it. If the faded portion of the print begins to print normally, then your troubleshooting is over and you know that you are nearly out of toner and should purchase a new cartridge.

When the red light blinks on the printer what does it indicate-model-xerox phaser printer 6110

The blinking toner cartridge is low. Order a new toner cartridge. You can temporarily improve print quality by redistributing the toner. See "Redistributing Toner" on page 5.2

from the manual online as pdf: http://download.support.xerox.com/pub/docs/6110/userdocs/any-os/en/Guide_XP.pdf

My oki data C5200 in printing a faded picture along the right side of the page only. I have cleaned the print heads and checked the levels in the cartridges. Everything seems to be fine. Can you help?

> OKI C5200n laser printer

Take the toner-cartridge out, and gently tilt it left-and-right
to redistribute the remaining toner in the cartridge.
Reinstall it.

Far left side of page prints faded.

Usually this is just the toner getting low on one side of the cartridge.

Easy way is to replaced the cartridge with a new one.

The cheap way is to take the toner cartridge out and gently shake from side to side and try to keep it level afterwards when you put it back in. This redistributes the toner so it is more or less even now. You may get a few hundred more pages of printing out of it or more if you are lucky.

Left side of the printed page is fade-about 2 inches

Your toner cartridge is getting empty, so you probably need to replace it. Try removing the toner cartridge and gently shaking it to redistribute the toner. It should clear up temporarily.

Infoprint 1532 Faded txt on left half of page and normal on right

The problem is the transfer roller. If you remove the toner cartridge and look at the roller that is under it. It should be seated down. The gears should be on the left side. Try to remove it and replace it the correct way.
