Display shows: printer cartridge incorrect

My display indicates that the right printer cartridge is incorrect, I have purchased another cartridge and installed it and still reads incorrect.what can it be.

It seems like you are using incorrect printer cartridges.....

Make sure that part number on ink cartridges should be :

MK990 Cartridge, Ink, Standard, Series-9, Black CTRG,INK,STD,SERIES-9,BLK 0 1 0 Yes 1 N MK991 Cartridge, Ink, Standard, Series-9, Color CTRG,INK,STD,SERIES-9,CLR 0 1 0 Yes 1 N MK992 Cartridge, Ink, High-Yield, Series-9, Black CTRG,INK,HIYLD,SERIES-9,BLK 0 1 0 Yes 1 N MK993 Cartridge, Ink, High-Yield, Series-9, Color CTRG,INK,HIYLD,SERIES-9,CLR 0 1 0 Yes 1 N MK995 Cartridge, Ink, Series-9, Photo

FYI, you cannot reset the ink it self. If your using an HP refilled ink cartridge the warranty of your printer will be void. you need to contact HP right away to purchase new ink cartridges.
If the cartridge has been refilled or remanufactured, 'Low on Ink' or 'Ink Alert' messages may be inaccurate or display incorrectly.

Remove the cartridge and try to clean the contacts and reinsert if still shows the same message .you have to replace that particular right side cartridge.

Error: right cartridge incorrect

Left Cartridge Incorrect / Right Cartridge Incorrect
  1. Remove the indicated print cartridge.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
  4. If the button_power_0.jpg button is not lit, press button_power_0.jpg.
  5. Reinsert the print cartridge.
  6. If the error:
    • Does not reappear, the problem has been corrected.
    • Reappears, replace the print cartridge with a new one.

My dell 924 printer shows right cartridge incorrect and I just had both cartridges refilled what is wrong?

I purchased remanufactured ink cartridges through amazon.com. I got 4 for the price of 1 through Dell. After installing the first cartridge, it printed for a few days and then I got the same message "left cartridge incorrect". Unfortunately, I did not read the piece of paper that came with my cartridge that says "STOP" read this before you install the cartridge.
I had to throw out the cartridge that I had just installed and put in a new one and follow these steps:
1. If you recieve a pop-up message indicating that the cartridge has been depleted or a low ink level warning, please disregard.
2. Check "Don't display this dialog again" and click "ok" or "continue printing" if necessary.
3. In the printer status window, since you have already ordered ink, do not click the "order ink online" button. If you have the option, check "I have ordered my ink, please don't remind me again." If not, close the window and continue printing.

I'm not sure why, but these instructions were vital to getting my remanufactured cartridges to work.

I am posting this reply to hopefully help out the next person that has this problem. Unfortunately, I lost a perfectly good ink cartridge because I failed to read the instructions the first time. But the next one worked just fine when I followed the instructions. Good luck!

Right cartridge incorrect and printer will not

I have the same issue where the printer displays "Right cartridge Incorrect". However, it's had no problems up until about two weeks ago and I've had the right cartridge in place for about a year or so.

Printer: AIO 922 (All-In-One 922)
Ink: Remanufactured ink

Refilled cartridge , printer says right cartridge incorrect

Lexmark builds intelligence into their cartridges and printers to prevent the use of refilled cartridges.

Lexmark has never approved the use of anyone else's ink for their printers primarily because there is no way to prove the quality of the ink.

Please purchase a Lexmark cartridge.

Dell 962 showing message "right cartridge incorrect"

Make sure the contacts on the cartridge and in the printer are clean. Also, try a new cartridge to see whether or not you have a defective one.

My Dell 946 All in One displays 'Right Cartridge Incorrect'

Install old cartriage, if you still have it, let the machine tell you that it is empty, then go through the install process with one of the new ones.

Printer says right cartridge incorrect. I know it's correct.

try cleaning the brown dotted circuit of both printer and cartridge. and then insert both the cartridge 1 by 1 and then check.

or sometimes it shows --replace left cartridge --- but both the cartridges are faulty and so its not working.

Incorrect right cartridge

Ive tried removing the right cartridge so I can print in black, but now , once I refilled the black one, it wont even let me print black!! this is desperate; can anyone help?
