Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet.
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector. (if possible connect it to a different power outlet)
Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)
Then check and see

SOURCE: My Officejet 6310xi All-in-one keeps going to power reset

Hi. I just got off of the phone with an HP case manager. I was ready for a refund, but he helped me and now my printer is working fine. The key is to have your Officejet 6310 plugged directly into a wall socket. The variations of power through a surge protector often cause a power shortage to the unit. The 6310 needs the 110 volts to operate. Surge protectors will sometimes rob the unit of this power. Follow these steps:
1. Unplug the power cable & ethernet/usb cable from the unit (stand alone mode). Let it sit for a minute.
2. Plug the power cable directly into a wall socket. Then plug the power cable into the 6310.
3. After it powers up, push the "Setup" button.
4. Right arrow to "2.Print Report."
5. Press "OK" button.
6. Right arrow to "4.Self-Test Report."
7. Press "OK" button.
A page should print showing alignment and color settings. Now you're back in business!

My hp 4500 officejet wireless printer prints horizontal bands

Are you using original HP ink cartridges or refilled ink? If it is original HP ink then the evidence points towards the printhead failure.
However, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
NOTE: Please skip any steps that you might have performed already.
Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
Press and hold the printer's power button for 15 seconds.
The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn't power ON then please manually power it ON.
If the error persists then please perform a firmware update on the printer via this link. Please restart the printer once after the firmware update.
If the issue persists then I suggest to reset the printer. Resetting the printer restores the printer to its original factory settings. I have sent you a private message with the steps to reset the printer.

I have a " no paper pick up" error message that I

3050 or 3055?

I checked the User Guide for these models; In the error section:

No paper pickup error. The all-in-one has failed to pick up a piece of media.

1. Verify that the media was inserted far enough into the input tray.

2. Reload the media in the input tray and press to continue the job.

3. If the error persists, contact HP Customer Care. See HP Customer Care or the support flyer that came in the all-in-one box.

Under print problems there is some additional information.

The all-in-one does not pull media from the media input tray.

1. The all-in-one might be in manual feed mode.

?? If Manual feed appears on the al lin-one control-panel display, press to print the job.

?? Verify that the all-in-one is not in manual feed mode and print your job again.

2. The pickup roller might be dirty or damaged.

Contact HP Customer Care. See HP Customer Care or the support flyer that came in the all-in-one box.

The setting of 'manual mode' sees the most likely problem of the above. If the setting was not in manual mode, before investigating further you may wish to try a simple reset. Sometimes, restarting the product can clear a paper feed issue. Follow these steps to perform a reset.
Reset the printer

1. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.

2. With the product turned on , disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.

3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
4. Wait at least 15 seconds.

6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.

8. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button ( ) to turn it on.

Hp 4si

Hi,

Your post is correct that error 53 refers to bad memory board or at times defective SIMM only. Since you have replaced them and no change, you may want to try to do a Cold Reset of the printer. This is done by powering on the printer while holding down the GO or Online button. Additionally, you may want to check/reset your NVRAM settings which can be done manually through the Service Mode.

This page lists most of the HP Laser Printer error codes. This link displays most HP LaserJets - Cold Reset Instructions.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Ink system failure BEWARE SPAM NUMBER 1-800-532-4187

Just got off the phone to HP and the issue is resolved *phew*. This was what I was told to do for my C5180. First they told me to do a power drain. This is done by pulling out the power cable and then holding the on/off button for a minute, then putting the power cable back in (this didn't work).
Then we did a master reset. Unplug the printer, then pressing the help and ok buttons simultaneously plug it back in. This sorted it. :)
Have to say it looked like this whole process used up shed loads of ink, so by the time I had finished I needed to replace 3 cartridges!
HP were pretty good and were very willing to send out a new printer if the reset didn't work (as the printer is still in warrenty). Hope you get yours sorted too. Rebecca
