My AC is Hitachi make winsow AC, and the sensor of its remote control seems to be not working, but we changed the battery, and it has backlight in remote, so does'nt seem like battery issue, but none of the buttons in the remote does not respond when we press them, as we do earlier. Couldnt understand what the problem is, Do i need to buy a need new remote or can we fix the problem in the existing remote ?????
Hitachi AC's are now made with "bovine ***** material" quality. we have two brand new AC's neither is working now. Remotes are not sensing at all. Hitachi is "bovine ***** matter" now.

I've had very good with the Radio Shack Universal Remote. It recognized everything I had. Try that, because if it doesn't work, you can take it back for a refund.
