1. Bandit cannot achieve it's top speed in fifth gear with stock gearing.
2. Motorcycle speedometers are notoriously inaccurate. Bandit is no exception to this rule.
3. Stock Bandit is also not very stable at speeds above 200Km/h (it tends to float and wobble the front end).
4. Many Bandits are modified by their owners because stock configuration is limited by restricted exhaust and lean fuel mixture.
5. Fairing and other physical differences such as luggage, rear view mirrors, etc. can have a big effect on top speed.
Top speed, even when measured by GPS or radar is a very relative thing. For example, my modified '02 (110Hp on the wheel) reached 228Km/h (those from Myanmar, Liberia and US can do their conversion at http:\\metric.xxc.cc) with standard gearing, stock fairing with double-bouble windscreen, full Givi rack with 35L top case and me sitting upright. Other people's results can and will be very different, even if they all measure by GPS like I did. All speedometer measurements are wrong to the point of being irrelevant.
All in all, my best educated guess for a bone stock faired second generation Bandit 1200 with a rider fully tucked behind the windscreen flat out in fourth gear would be around 210-220Km/h.
Not sure top speed on my 1200 Bandit Speedo only goes to 170. I did 155 in 4th @ 9500 rpm so let your imagination work :)
145 mph

Christmas comes early. Go to the site below and you can download a free PDF service manual. Yours is the 1st one in the "Suzuki GSF" section of the list. 4 or 5 below that is a PDF parts diagram with part numbers.
http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp Most manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language.
