Washing machine stopped half way through a wash saying door not shut. so now the washing machine keeps beeping saying door not shut. But the door is shut. it will not do anything but beep.......... please can somebody help.
I had a similar problem which was resolved by replacing the door interlock switch (cost about £10.00).
To get to it you need to disconnect the mains then remove the top lid. You can then see it by looking down the inside to the right. Remove the 2 screws inside the door opening and you can then lift it out after disconnecting the wiring plug.
Replacement is the reverse of the above, a 5 minute job.
The door could be closed physically but the not electricity because a defective lid switch that should be replaced. Good luck!
