Screen has gradually gone blank and I have to look through the view finder.
One source for the LCD screen is here.

most likely a broken / faulty screen. may be the screen ribon cable but unlikely
cheapest option is to get a replacement from a broken camera (ebay or similar) and swap it out yourself.
there are a couple of "tricks" do getting this camera open drop me a line if you decide to proceed...

SOURCE: my Kodak C653 LCD screen has cracked
I bought another camera with other problems. It had a great lcd. I took it out and put it in my camera. It was very easy. One thing to do carefully, is the unplugging of the screen. The little black tabs slide down to the bottom of the camera. Othere than that is is a 15 minute job.
1. take all screws out.
2. unsnap the case carefully.
3. slide black clips on both sides of LCD leads, both have them.
4. slide new screen into place, slide black clips back up, latch down screen.
5. replace case then screws. Done Deal.
If camera worked before it will be better now.

The image will not appear simultaneously on the LCD
monitor and the viewfinder. It will appear in the
viewfinder when the LCD monitor is in the lock position,
and it will appear on the LCD monitor when fully
extended.
