You are probably going to need a new timer board for $189 AUD

If you can get behind it, you could replace the capacitor and clean the contacts behind the buttons with Switch Cleaner.

sometimes there is a switch that operates when the door is opened or closed causes the fan to stop when the door opens. The switch is normally mounted at a door hinge, or hinge bracket.might have to remove a panal to get to it

Most gas ovens using glowbar technology have a failsafe to not allow gas flow without glowbar pilot ignition.

If you are asking this question it is most likely that your glowbar needs replacement. This is fairly easy to do yourself. I recommend researching your glowbar part thoroughly and purchasing the part off ebay. It will save you a bunch. I did this a month ago.

Funny thing is when I called my local parts guy he told me that 6 glowbars for my model were sold that day, but very few prior, and he was out of them. Looks to me like the oven manufacturers are working with planned obsolescence to get you to buy a new oven every 10 years if you are not savvy enough to fix yours.

This coensides with the building boom 10 years ago in my area. Coincidence? Not likely.

I'm not sure its been connected properly, needs checking out by someone who know's what they're doing. Be careful, the fuse doesn't trip for nothing.

Yes this glass is tempered to resist heat not cold. It is very unstable at low temps. Hope this answers your question.

I have the same problem with my new Smeg oven. I try to avoid using the oven at the moment because of the amount of condensation I have to mop up each time I use it, even the floor get wet!. Smeg have said they will replace it but I am now looking for an oven that will fit into the 'whole' the oven will leave in my newly renovated kitchen. I wish I had never ventured near to SMEG. I would never recomend Smeg to friends, quite the opposite.
