About 3 years ago we had our Kitchen renovated and a new Technika Oven was installed. The problem that we now have is that the ignition starter switch to light the Gas Burners and Oven has stopped working. We have to manually light them with a match. Do you know if this is a problem with a simple solution that a handyman could fix? Is the ignition switch replacable? Is there a seperate fuse that may have likenly blown?
Depending on the type of ignition used (sometimes they have pressure sensitive switchs other times its just a simple microswitch) the switch's may have gone but also can you hear a clicking but the burners / oven not lighting? if so then the electroeds on the appliance may just need cleaning if not then i would recommend getting an engineer out the repair its self should be pretty cheap
