I put in the code 1111 and it went to Test Mode. I can't lock it in so every time I start the car, I have to re-insert the code to listen to the radio.
The original radio code is required and this can be retreived from the serial number, for a Blaupunkt radio this number will start with 'BP' send it to this link and pay a small fee: Car radio codes in Uxbridge London Gumtree

10SAFE means that many wrong codes have been entered previously.
To reset it , the radio will have to be left SWITCHED ON ....UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to reset itsel automatically.
This can be up to 24 hours as the waiting time doubles after each wrong code.
It might be better to connect it up to a spare battery supply and leave on your workbench until it resets.
This works...but you have to be patient ...and make sure that it is left UNDISTURBED
