Question about Korg Pa50 Professional Arranger Keyboard with SD Card Slot
On the lower or higher Program/Performance.. non of the sounds ie Organ, Bass. Synths, etc are in the right place? For instance if I use the lower and select BASS its says EMPTY !! If I select the upper and go to GUITAR its displays Organ sounds... Surely I should be able to select a "sound/voice" and simply play the keyboard with that sound?? I can with my old faithful M1
I use korgpa50sd i had some voices by default but once when i inserted my sd card into the arranger every voices got deleted and now everything is new...so can you please help me to get back the old voices?

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

The manual is at:http://www.korguksupport.co.uk/upload/X50_OpGuide_E1.pdf if you don't have one. Try saving everything you want to save first if you know how to do that. Then initialize the keyboard. Follow the instructions on page 111 carefully. It sounds like you created an undesirable effect and accidently assigned the Pitch Bend Lock function to the effect. This parameter is explained on page 41 under Pitch Wheel Mod Wheel. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: KORG SP-250. Keyboard powers
There is probably a cable loose that connects the keyboard itself to the processor... OR the key contacts have been contaminated by spilled liquid. The keys are scanned as a matrix. The contacts will be a conductive rubber pressed against circuit board traces. Clean contact "pills" and the circuit traces with ONLY 99% isoprophyl alcohol.
This is NOT for the unskilled to attempt a DIY other than carefully opening and looking for a cable that has come loose.

It could be that you have a keyboard 'split' turned on but haven't allocated a voice / sound to one half of the keyboard.
See chapter 1 page 11 and chapter 3 page 27 of the manual available at the link below for a more detailed explanation

You should be able to remove the top cover off your keyboard and see the quarter-size battery mounted in a holder on one of the circuit boards.
I don't recall the exact location on this particular model, but once you've located it, all you have to do is slide it out from under the contact spring that holds it in place and slide a new one in.
You'll want to make the swap fairly quickly as some models can lose their memory settings if battery power is lost for a relatively short amount of time.
