Casio watch problem

Daylight savings time changes causes watch to be 1 hour ahead. When I reset it - I loose the signal. I've followed the manual,even had others do same. When daylight savings time first changed last week my watch was 2-5 minutes behind. Is the battery needing to be replaced? Had watch for about 2 years.

Thanks

    Its a Casio 3747 wave ceptor. The 2-5 minute problem resolved after the third time I reset it. Biggest problem is the daylight savings time making my watch an hour ahead!

Hi,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Offhand, I would say yes to the battery replacement. Though watches are not within my immediate field. This would be based on your post "2-5 minutes behind". As to the "lost signal" after a reset, may I request that you post back the specific model number pls.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

    Hi again,

    Thanks for commenting back.

    After the reset, have you tried performing again the "Current Time Setting"? This include:

        setting again your Home City;

        depending on your location, you may need to manually adjust the initial time.
    Am not sure if you have specifically the manual for your 3747, but pls try and download this reference manual http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/... It may be different and offer you more insights.

    Cheers.

My Citizen Skyhawk analog UTC hour hand is alway 1 hour ahead of the UTC digital hour. I've tried reset and the hour/min hand alignment process without success. Any ideas other than sending in the watch...

You've gotta go to the set setting, one click out on the knob and cycle through all the timezones using the B button (the lower one) to change all the settings to OF (for winter) or ON (for summer time). According to their website FAQ, they can't determine when daylight savings time goes into effect for all the different time zones so there is no automatic changeover from SMT to normal and back again. Disappointing, I know. I just spent half an hour going through their website looking for some master switchover as well.
