My steering wheel audio system buttons (Volume Up/Down, Change channel up/down etc). My Volume Down is turning the volume up, my volume up is changing channels, my channel down button is switching media sources, and the channel up button is changing channels down. I did a master reset of the system via the Sync User interface to no avail. It is intermittent, but rapidly becoming more consistent. The system includes navigation, blue tooth media controls (I removed all of them too thinking it could be a blue tooth issue). I'm thinking I need to troubleshoot with MS sync tech support but would appreciate any feedback one can offer me on this.
My MKS had this exact problem earlier this year. I took it in and they ordered and replaced the buttons. It worked fine for about three months and now is starting to act up again. Have you gotten any definitive answers?

Tony KayThey finally figured out it was the radio and I got a whole new radio put in. The problem has been fixed and ben working for about a year. Thank goodness it was still on warranty. Save you address and destinations and you will have to reload any Nav updated you may have purchased. The one I had was no longer being sold and the nav company would no loger relicense it to the new radio. I had to buy the latest update BUT... I went back to Lincoln and they reimbursed me for what I spent on the new nav update.

The LS has several onboard computers that share information on a network. If something on this system shorts or spikes it can cause all kinds of crazy things like this. One of the main culprits for this is ignition coil packs but the coolant control valve has been known to cause these problems also.I suspect that the latter may be the case for you since you only have heat. It mounts to the fan shroud on the passenger side of the car.Try unhooking it and see if this stops the traction control light and parking brake light from coming on.

if you feel it in steering wheel it could be your front axels. jack up the front end of your vehicle and turn the steering wheel to which ever way you hear it most, roll the wheel with your hand and see if you hear any noise [email protected]
SOURCE: Air bag light is on... The str wheel controls r never correct
You have a bad clock spring. This is located behind the steering wheel and all electrical functions from steering wheel must go thru it. Pretty common problem on this model. The steering wheel and the steering column trim would have to be removed to replace it.

Check your fuses first, if it isn't a fuse it is not a do it yourself situation. The lincoln stearing wheel has a ton of electronics in it along with the air bag.
