Reset Ink Tank for Canon IPF 610

Hello,
Need urgent help on how to reset the maintainence cartridge aka waste ink tank for Canon plotter model IPF 610. I have reset the waste ink tank before for other plotter models like W6200, W6400, W8400 & IPF 700. But never on a IPF 610. Would appreciate to have the reset codes for the ink tank at the soonest.

Wat tank full mp 520

Hi Guy,
I believe that what you mean is 'Waste Ink Tank Is Full' error on Canon MP520.
To fix this problem, first you need to reset waste ink counter of the printer then you should replace the ink absorber with new one.
In order to reset waster ink counter properly, you can read complete procedure how to reset waste ink counter of the printer below:

Canon BJC- 1000 LPT 1 printer. STATUS: the used ink tank is full. printer not performing.

HI,

Your printer has a built-in waste ink tank for the ink used during print head cleaning. As time goes by, the waste ink tank gradually fills. When the waste ink tank is nearly full, you should receive a "Waste ink warning" error when you print. Press the RESUME button on the printer to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink tank becomes completely full, have the waste ink tank replaced.

Ink tank counter reset code for Canon ipf8000

However, you have to perform the reset before the Maintenance Tank is completely full.
Once it is marked full, the printer won't start, even in Service Mode, until you replace the Maintenance Tank. If this happens, you can still reset the tank by inserting a new Maintenance Tank, start in service mode, then put the old cart back in and reset it
1. Start the printer in service mode (hold down Feeder Selection and Information while pressing power. Keep the feeder and information buttons down until you see an "S" in the upper right corner of the LCD.
2. Press "Menu". There will be a new entry called "SERVICE MODE" with a different menu structure and navigation system.
3. Familiarize yourself with the following facts while in this menu:
a. Left and right change the categories.
b. Down and up go into, and out of (respectively) submenus.
c. From what I've read, the service mode is very powerful - lots of opportunities to really mess things up. Be careful.
4. Select "Service Mode" as you normally would, i.e. scroll down, then press OK.
5. Press the right arrow until you see "Initialize".
6. Press the down arrow.
7. Press the right arrow until "W-INK" is displayed. (Note: be sure you select "W-INK" from the "Initialize" choices instead of "W-INK - CHG CNT" which sounds like just the thing, but doesn't work.)
8. Press OK.
9. The display should show "=W-INK" for about half a second, then plain "W-INK".
10. Press up until you get back to the main menu. Press information until the maintenance cartridge capacity is displayed.
11. The maintenance cartridge capacity is now 100% (aka empty).
12. Press and hold Power to turn off your printer.
13. Turn it back on normally.
14. Maintenance cartridge capacity (not usage!) should still be at 100%.

I own a canon w8200 pigment large format printer. I replaced two cartridges, Magenta and Yellow. The printer did a nozzle check that seemed to take too long. I then received a 'waste ink tank full'...

<Remedy>
1.Waste ink absorber
Use SERVICE MODE>COUNTER>PRINTER>W-INK to check the waste ink
absorber. Replace if the waste ink level is near the limit (14400).
After replacing the tank, perform SERVICE MODE>INITIALIZE>W-INK.

Canon pixma ip4600 black ink problem

The PGI-220 is the larger ink tank and is filled with standard black ink. The PGI-221 black cartridge is the photo black. There is no way to force the printer to use the photo black cartridge (skinny one) to print documents. The photo black cartridge is only used if you print a photo. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling shop and I can't refill these cartridges yet. There is no way to reset the ink level chip without a resetter and any replacement chips you find on the internet are technically violating patent law.

I have a Canon MP700 Printer. The message "waste tank nearly full" appeared. As I couldn't find any help in the manual I removed the ink cartridges to look for a "waste tank". ...

Dear miggsy,
Waste ink absorber capacity of your printer has rise to about 90-95 %. Tentatively, you can continue printing by pressing STOP/RESET button. When ink absorber capacity reach about 100%, the printer stop working and message 'Waste Ink Tank is Full' appears.
To fix this problem, you need to reset waste ink counter. It strongly recommended that you replace waste ink absorber after resetting waste ink counter.
Here are steps resetting waste ink counter of this printer:
  • With the machine power off, while pressing STOP/RESET button, press and hold the ON/OFF button. (Do not release the buttons).
  • While holding ON/OFF button, release the STOP/RESET button. (Do not release the ON/OFF button).
  • While holding the ON/OFF button, press the STOP/RESET 2 times and then release all buttons. (Each time STOP/RESET is pressed, the alarm LED and COPY lights alternately starting with alarm LED).
  • When the COPY button lights in green, press STOP/RESET button 4 times. (Each time STOP/RESET is pressed, the alarm LED and COPY lights alternately starting with alarm LED).
  • Turn off the printer.
Your printer should work normally now.
Regards,

Canon muti-pass MP360 INK TANK FULL

I believe what you are seeing is "WASTE INK TANK FULL"? This means that the tank that collects the waste ink from cleaning the head is full. You can read more than you ever want to know on this subject on the following link: http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/38697#1 These are the steps to clear the message by reseting the counter: 1)Printer on, press Additional Functions, Scan, Copy, Scan Now you should be in service mode from there for waste ink tank reset 2)Select Test mode which is like the last available selection 3)Select #8 Printer Test, it will do something here like cleaning or something then it will come up with some other options this is where it gets a bit confusing cause now all it says is like 8-2 or 8-3 push the + or - button until it says 8-3 then hit the select button The menu will now say EEPROM Clear Select Ink count which is option (0) and press set Your done!
