Fix Error 80070002

How to fix Error 80070002 "Service is temporarily unavailable"?

Trying to sign into Windows Live Messenger and I keep getting error number 80070002, what should I do?

    I have this problem error too. Tried all the advise on all forums and websites - still no luck. Can sign in on my old email address but not my new one...

It only takes a few short steps to fix error 80070002

- Search for ppcrlconfig.dll (it should be in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\IdentityCRL\ppcrlconfig.dll), delete it.

- Remove all Windows Live Messenger and MSN Messenger installed.

- Reinstall Windows Live Messenger.

- Restart Windows Live Messenger.

Try exiting the reopening messenger. Worked for me.

Reregister SSL security libraries. To do this, click "Start," click "Run," and type in each command below and hit ENTER.

Note: After each command is executed successfully, you will receive a "DllRegisterServer succeeded" message. Wait until you receive this message before you continue to the next command.

a. REGSVR32 softpub.dll
b. REGSVR32 wintrust.dll
c. REGSVR32 initpki.dll
d. REGSVR32 Rsaenh.dll
e. REGSVR32 Mssip32.dll use reginout cleaner to fix it easily

Uinstall and reinstall Windows Live messenger will fixed the problem, what i suggest is install an older version of Windows Live Messenger...

well they were hit with denial of service recently so try again later as it suggested. We cant log you in from here anyway.

Error code 80040154

Sometimes, the service is just "unavailable". If this is happeneing every time, double check your internet is working, and that it isn't being blocked by a firewall.

How to fix WLM 80070002 Error?

- Search for ppcrlconfig.dll (probably located in X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\IdentityCRL\ppcrlconfig.dll) and delete it.
- Remove any WLM or MSN Messenger installed (including MSG Plus).
- Restart Windows Live Messenger or MSN Messenger.
