I believe your phone is fine and all others experiancing this type of problem. This will typically occur after you have enter wrong codes. Even perhaps if you have taken the SIM chip out and attempted to try it in another phone, then put it back into your 1100. If you call Tracfone they will tell you that you need a new device as they told me. I refused that notion and simply tripped the device as I have done simularly with other devices for a long time. Dont take it to the shop first or reset to factory settings or get a new phone just yet. When the phone resets and turns on immediatly preform a manually shut-down of the phone. This should discontinue the phones cycle of turning on and off. Take the batt out and put it back in if you need to. Manually turn the phone back on and immediatlly toggle between pressing the volume keys the enter button and the clear button in sequence untill you can get to the menu, or just press the clear button. "Long end short" get to the main menu as quickly as allowed. This must all be done in a quickly performed sequence before the phone decides to reset again. Get into your menu, go to your prepaid option, go into code entry mode. Your safe!!! You should notice that when you make it into code entry mode the phone stops resetting. I attribute it to the idea that tracfone network aka (telecom) thinks that you have spent some more $$$ on their pre-paid mins. So the phone has stopped resetting once in the code entry mode. Wait a few minutes. Then exit out of code entry mode, and resume normal function. Your phone will have stopped random reset and work normal again as you successfully tripped the system!!! This is a system problem or some standard protocal the system runs!!! If a couple minutes in the code entry mode does not work. Try again just give it a little more time. Not sure for same on all phones in all areas-

Why is my service disabled, but I have minutes?

With TracFone, you not only need to have minutes, but also service time. Check your phone's display to see if your service time is up. (I have a Samsung TracFone and it tells the number of service days remaining, but my old Motorola showed an expiration date. Your Motorola model may show the date too.) You'll lose service if you don't add more time by the end of service date, even if you still have minutes. As long as you add some more airtime within a short time (I don't remember the exact number of days), you'll keep the same number.

If the phone shows you haven't reached the end of service date and you still have minutes left, there's some other problem that TracFone will need to look into. Their customer service number is 1-800-867-7183.

Hope this helps and that you're back in service soon. Thanks for using Fixya!

My trac fone

When was the last time you bought an airtime card? Becuase I have a Tracfone too, and you have to buy an airtime card every 90 days...so if you haven't bought one in 90 days then that's probably what's going on. You can buy it online from Treacfone.com, in stores, or directly from your phone. Hope this helps! :)

The actual problem is,When we take our phone and start working and at that time also if the signal is not provided,we have to search it manually to get our home network.

Tracfone dies after adding time

Same problem. Working off of Reijose's suggestion (thanks) I had the charging plug in the wall and the phone. That at least stopped the buzzing. Then I started working combos of buttons, turning the phone off and on etc and finally it came back to life. Can't say it was any one combo, but I did press 666 and clear or stop enough times that I might have finally exorcised the demons of of this thing.
Serriously that was the combo of buttons I used, through just by chance more than anything, ha.
