I have a Mitsubishi cs-40505 tv. It will not turn on. A clicking noise is heard after pushing the power button then again a few seconds later. Tv does eventually turn on after pressing power bu.tton...

The fault is with its main board. Contact any service technician, or the authorized service center for Mitsubishi. I can't predict about how much you have to spend. It will depend upon the fault, and the sost of component/s have to be replaced.
Anyway, be sure, this is not an easy work, for a user to do.

Check its power regulator board. Check fuse. replace it as card basis, if found irrepairable.

Need power cord for mitsubshi cs-40505

The cord is soldered in---any standard polarized cord will work like from Radio Shack etc.

Polarized means the pins on the plug are one large and one smaller--when replacing you must get them as they are in the set--large side pin goes to neutral in the electrical outlet and on the cord usually to the side with the white stripe on it.

This is a very old set and the original cord no longer available from Mitsubishi.
