Hello
I have a hotpoint dishwasher. A couple of months ago a blue rubber band type circular object came off of the dishwasher somewhere. The dishwasher still works fine, but tonight I found another slightly smaller rubber band it was just hanging from the spinny thing at the bottom. The size of these rubber pieces is about 8 inches in diameter and 5 inches in diameter roughly. Does anyone know where they belong and how I could replace them before the dishwasher breaks.

Does water comes into the dishwasher all time, even when it doesn't operated?

Hi,
I have just had my dishwasher fixed by Hotpoint, as the heater was working and the dishwasher only stopped with the fast and delicate lights just before the drying process he replaced the main control board. This has solved the problem, I suspected the fault to be the thermistor as the heater seemed to be getting to hot but I had no idea where it was.
It turns out the thermistor is attached to the main control board and hangs down behind the front door that gives just a rough temperature level for the main control board.
As it's soldered directly onto the control board I would suggest replacing the whole control pcb for anyone with this fault unless you can find any spec details for the thermistor.

Here are the eco related error codes for your washer..
1)Light 3 (eco) flashes. Water is present in the flood catching tray at
the bottom which usually indicates that there is a leak somewhere. More
often than not this is just a pipe with a poor fitting and simply
tightening the clip is enough to stop the leak. Our machine had a very
slow leak from one pipe (not enough to trigger the alarm) which was
fixed in this way. The leak is detected by a small float switch located
in the flood catch tray.
Undo 4 screws on the metal plate under the dishwasher 3 at the front 1
at the back, this reveals The pump check the seals are in place on the
waste pump.
2)
Wash indicator lights 3 + 5 (eco + pre) flashing rapidly. Filter is clogged. Pull out the filter and clean it.
3)Runs for approx. 3 minutes and then stops. Lights 3 + 4 (eco and fast)
flash. Probably caused by being plumbed into a hot rather than cold
water supply. The incoming water is hotter than required for the wash
which causes the machine to cut out. Plumbing the machine into a cold
water supply will fix the problem with no apparent long term problems.

This is a bad control board that if replaced will only repeat in a short time .My advice is to contact the manufacturer and complain, you have the right as a consumer to do so.

You just need to switch the machine off for approx 30 seconds from the mains and switch it back on again!!
AL99 means that there is a communication error within the machines software.
