Switch is on, but won't turn on. I used it yesterday and nothing out of the ordinary happened, but tried to use it today and nothing.
Here's a fix that worked for me today! I couldn't make it turn on for over 24 hours. As a last-ditch effort I put my hairdryer on hot and aimed it at the on/off button. I waited 20 seconds and it turned on! (took about 20 presses of the button). In my mind the heat from the hairdryer is expanding the circuit board so that the things that aren't connecting can connect. Hope this helps!

This means -Child Lock trying to solve the problem myself- I think by pushing 2 buttons together... but which ones?

Hi, Has all the water gone out of the machine? Try it on another spin cycle if it opens then the drain filter or pump could be blocked.

Mine does the same thing. I'm sure I read somewhere it's a fault with the circuit board behind the on/off switch. I press on the bottom right of the button and it sometimes turns on. I also unplug the machine for 10 mins then plug it in and that sometimes works. Yesterday I gave it a technical tap and that worked. There's a child-lock on mine and I press those 2 buttons and they work fine. It's just the on/off button. Very dicey.
Mine has the same problem. I'm sure I read somewhere that it needs a new circuit board for the on/off switch. My workarounds are: 1) press the bottom right of the on/off switch. 2) unplug the machine for 10 mins then plug back in 3) give it a technical tap. 4) Press the button repeatedly until it turns on (if it takes more than 30 presses this won't work this time). I've been babying my machine along for 2 years with these "solutions". I can turn on the child-lock (just to prove power is getting to the circuit-board and I'm not going mental) it's just the on/off switch that's the problem.
Oops, sorry! I didn't see that the first comment worked!
