Stuck on last minute

The dishwasher has been running for 3 hours and seems to be stuck on 1 minute left. Upon opening, there was sudsy water remaining in the bottom, but the dishes looked clean. The washer just won't go to "CL" in the digitial window.

Additionally the drain pump is running continuously (if water is manually added to the unit, it drains right out). Ran the test program and 21 is displayed(as indicated) The fault code of 4 is displayed immediately when the Scrubwash and Del/Econo buttons are pressed a second time...Is this a problem with the board or drain switch stuck open

  • exlost1 Mar 25, 2009

Exactly the same! Stuck on 1 minute and the pump keeps going. Looks like it may need a new control board...

I have seen a lot of these dishwashers burn out the control board, and usually the symptom is the timer not working or inability to complete a cycle. Most of the ones I have seen, you can remove the control board assembly and its pretty obvious where its burnt. If you can do the repair yourself, the board is about $150. Hope this helps!

Dishwasher runs too long

Good Morning Tessa,

I understand that your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB700BFC, is running too long. I also see that it seems to be getting stuck on one particular cycle and runs continuously for hours even though the water is hot. It sounds like there is possibly a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. I please ask that you try resetting your dishwasher, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 20-30 minutes. Once power is restored, try running any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

When I press the start button, Bosch dishwasher (model SHY56A 05UC) just keep running the motor pumping the water out of dishwasher, irrespective of: 1) the wash cycle it is on, 2) whether the door is...

what is happenig i believe and has happened to me 2 times is that the water level float that is on the left side of dishwasher is stuck.

Either remove side panel and flick lever or pull dishwasher out and tap lower portion of panel and this will cause the level to move and then see hat happens

Our Neff S5454x1/21 dishwasher has occasionally stopped/stuck

Looks like the heater unit has packed up.

I cannot seem to find the actual model you have anywhere on the internet. But I am assuming you connect the dishwasher to cold water inlet and it is meant to have a heater.

Are you in UK or Europe. Bosch also makes parts for the NEFF dishwasher but I am not able to find spare parts for your exact model.

Please post a comment.

We have a Model 587.1440*, 587.1441* Kenmore dishwasher. I had turned the water off to the whole house when we left for vacation and openned one faucet so the water pressure would be off the house while we...

First, have you run it long enough to purge the air from the dishwasher line?

Secondly, the solenoid valve for the water inlet may be stuck due to no pressure on it while you were gone. Tapping it with something light like a wrench may jump-start it.

SHU 53 MODELS To start test program, press and hold both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO program buttons, then turn unit on by pressing ON/OFF button. Initially, control module version # will be displayed (e.g./ ?21? = version 1 with jumper). When wash program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press ON/OFF button. To check each program indicator light, press its button. To check Cycle Countdown display, Refill Rinse Agent light and REGULAR WASH light, press REGULAR WASH button (press Delay Start button to test Cycle Countdown display alone). Cycle Countdown display will show ?88″ when REGULAR WASH button is pressed and ?8h? when Delay Start button is pressed. To start testing, press both the SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO buttons a second time. When testing has ended, Cycle Countdown display will show a fault using codes below. If more than one fault occurs, code numbers will be added together, (e.g./ ?6? = faults 2 + 4). 0 = No faults detected 2 = Heating fault 8 = NTC (temperature sensor) fault 1 = Aqua Sensor (?Sensotronic?) fault 4 = Filling fault F = Filling fault (display occurs during wash, not test) To check for heater, high limit or flow switch problems, start testing until heating starts. Using a meter with a current coil, measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty. If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), display will show fault code ?4″ and unit will continually fill and drain where testing won?t be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show ?0″, water won?t heat (to 150?F) and water won?t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), display will show fault code ?8″ immediately and testing will end shortly after water has started circulating.

Bosch sgi45e12gb/22 dishwasher won't stop

hey you..I have a whirlpool dishwasher too that would not
stop the wash cycle...it would run for 2-3 hours,
and then run thru the whole wash cycle again!

so..I had a whirlpool factory trained repair man come to
the home. He ran a diagnostic and it was 100% good,
so he called Whirlpool headquarters spoke to them;

said...........every 250 hours the dishwasher will
RE-CALIBRATE itself! running for 4-4 1/2 hours
straight, in order to re-calibrate itself. I was
interupting this by opening the door before it had
run the full 4 -41/2 hours of it's self-maintenance program.

Perhaps that your dishwasher is doing too?
p.s. always make sure you get a repairman that
is factory trained in your specific brand, otherwise
you'll waste $$$ money with a repairman who doesn't
have access to the corporate tech's and direct access
to their parts/inventory.

good luck with your dishwasher!
mine is the whisper quiet with computer control on front
of the door.

Intrrnal leak into base of appliance will make drain pump run constantly.
If appliance fills then dumps water with drain punp then keeps filling/draining sequence then the flow meter could de faulty.
