SOURCE: fisher & paykel washing machine fault codes

I have a Fisher & Paykel GW609AU Smartdrive Excellence 6.5 Washing Machine that would start then stop then start then stop a few more times before eventually beeping.
I fixed it by bypassing(joined the white and yellow wire) the trip out switch which is located under the control module(one screw to remove). Now it Works.

OK this is kind of an elementary question but have you checked you have power at the outlet?
To do this, plug in a small light or appliance that you know is working. If there is no power then check the supply fuse/circuit breaker. If there is power then the fault is in the machine (duh?).

To find this the circuit has to be checked by someone with the necessary equipment and experience, not something I would suggest an untrained person attempt.
I no this is not a lot of help but the best I can do from here.
Good Luck

Turn machine OFF on the front panel. Hold down the Water Temp Down button and press the POWER button. Release buttons. You are in Diagnostic mode. With your service sheet ,Diagnostic chart will explain where the error lights pattern and the path to your solution are.My advice is this....there is a known problem with the wire harness connectors, and the contact that is made at the point of connection. One at a time remove each connector starting at your main control board ,some where there is a loose connection.

SOURCE: I have a problem, I

Hi,

The fuse blowing is significant. If you could possible post back the rating of the fuse, then possibly we can narrow down the suspects. The idea being, it the Amps of the fuse is rated high, then It signifies that there is a short in the circuitry big enough to draw excessive current such as the electrical components and blow that fuse. If however the fuse rating is rather low, then the short is on a lower load such as the electronics.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back on the rating of the fuse that blows, how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: Smart drive 5.5 washing machine lights show power on but no go

OK Problem located (without Diagnostics) , the problem was a faulty START/PAUSE button. I took the display board apart and fiddled with the button (whilst the power was UNPLUGGED) Starts almost every time, when it does`nt fiddle some more.

Cold water not pulling into Fisher & Paykel 5.5kg Smart Drive Pride.

Either the cold water inlet solenoid has failed or there is a fault with the electronic control module, Unfortunately the only way to find out is to replace the cold water solenoid and see if it works, if it doesn't then the electronic control board is faulty.

I get lots of lint every wash with my 6.5 smart drive how can I remedy this

Hi just read your posting. Now select a hot fill on a wash cycle with no clothes in the machine and add to the water 2 cups of automatic dish-washing power.Let it wash for 5 minutes and then turn the machine off and leave over night. In the morning turn it back on a wash cycle and let it run all the way throe. This should get rid of the lint in your machine. Please reply on how you got on and for further help.Looking forward to your reply.
