The good news is it is actually not an electronic foot control and you can order a generic one on line that is a better product than the original one that comes with the machine. just make sure you use make and model to match it up, you can buy the entire assembly (make sure to match up plug into machine) or just a foot and rewire it with the existing cords by just taking off old foot and rewiring new foot on. They open on the bottom.

I have a white speedylock 234DE serger, I need a power cord for it, where can I find one?

The power cord and the foot pedal are sold as one unit here: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/foot-control-bernette-singer-riccar-white-411646w.aspx . This is the correct part for the U.S. If you are in a different country, you'll need the appropriate cord for your area. The same foot control and cord works for several other sewing machine, including the Bernette 320 and the Huskylock 901.

I hope this helps. A number of White sewing and serger machines were manufactured by Singer. The manual is available here: https://res.cloudinary.com/singer-sewing/image/upload/fl_attachment/Singer-Website-Library/outdated_product/966_sl-234d_234de-x.pdf .

My cloth door sensor is not working Bernette 334SD . Light works, not the pedal, both doors are closed.

If the light on your Bernette 334SD sewing machine is working but the cloth door sensor (also called the foot controller) is not, there are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the connection: Make sure the foot controller is properly plugged into the machine. If it is loose or not fully plugged in, it may not work.
  2. Check the pedal switch: The pedal switch may be stuck or broken. Try gently pressing on the switch to see if it moves freely. If it is stuck, you may need to take your machine to a repair shop to have it fixed.
  3. Check the wiring: The wiring between the foot controller and the machine may be damaged or broken. Carefully inspect the wiring for any signs of damage or wear. If you find any, you may need to replace the foot controller or have it repaired.
  4. Contact customer support: If you have tried these steps and your foot controller is still not working, you may need to contact Bernette customer support for further assistance.

I have a Bernina Bernette serger 004D/004 and the presser foot has fallen off the machine can I fix this myself?

The presser foot is a 2 piece thing, remove the foot, then remove the top bit that the foot attaches to (the shank). Look at the bottom of the shank while pressing the little lever or button on the back of it, you will see how the foot attaches to the shank.

Bernette IS60 iron power lights up but not heating, where is nearest authorized dealer or repair shop to CLINTON, Maryland.

I have the same model and my trustworthy repairman tells me they don't make these anymore so there are no repair parts available. Sorry, but you'll probably have to shop for a new iron.

The tension is off. What is the proper setting?

Between 4 - 6 should be the normal setting.

Sometimes threading is a bigger issue - always thread sewing machines with the presser foot up.

When you do this, then tension opens and allows the thread to enter where it can be properly guided to the needle.

If a sewing machine is threaded with the presser foot down, the tension control is closed to the sewing setting and the thread cannot enter as it should resulting in the tension having no control of the flow of the thread to the needle.
