Need instructions on using self cleaning oven on my Kenmore Ultra electric stove thanks
Press the self-clean button. The panel becomes blank(---), then press the up arrow( ^ ). The panel will appear 3:00 (indication for the duration of self-cleaning). The oven will lock on its own and start the self-cleaning. Good luck, ya'll!

I DISCOVERED THAT THE DOOR LOCK IS A SLICE LOCK THAT WAS PUSHED UP UNDER OVEN LIDD, OR TOP OF OVEN, WHEN I FOUND IT,LOCKED IT - IT WORKED - 3 HOURS TO CLEAN. f2 APPEARED WHEN DONE AND DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN UNTIL IT COOLED OFF. SO, I DISCOVERED THE ANSWER

I don't have instructions. I pushed "clean"...it started to beep...door wouldn't lock, got F9, I tried to set timer, push cancel, nothing is happening!!!! So I unplugged oven....when I plugged it back in I got the beeping again, F9 showed up again and then the door did lock...but now what?

I did the same thing last night and I finally got the door to lock and the oven cleaned but now I can't get the oven door opened. I called a repair person and they told me that it was a technical problem and I would have to call Sears to get a tech support person to come to the house, I had to have model and serial # when I called.
Happycamper, I don't have the use and care guide but I do have the part number for the manual. If your model begins with 911, the part number should be SR10503. You can probably order it online or look it up on the net. Catriver..post back

I set my oven to self clean, and approx. 2 hrs into the cleaning process, the oven began beeping with a F2 error code. The door is now locked, and we had to shut power off to the oven to get the beeping to stop.

I have a double built in amana self cleaning oven. The self cleaning feature does nothing except make noise. I turn the temp dial to clean (upper or lower), turn the other dial to either upper oven clean or lower oven clean, lock the door and it makes all kinds of noise but after about five minutes I feel absolutely no heat around the oven and I turn it off and open it and it is COLD. It happens with both upper and lower ovens. What I am doing wrong? I have no directions for this oven.

The answer posted by alisonpae was awesome and right on. However, no one, absolutely no one, warned me adequately as to the amounts of toxic smoke that would invade my house! OMG! It was TERRIBLE. All the windows, all the doors and all the fans and it's just now cleared enough that I can breathe in here. Thankfully, the downstairs living room door sealed it off and it wasn't polluted. Now, though, the oven looks GREAT! Just, leave the house, make sure ALL the pets are out and stay gone from moments after you start the cycle until it is done. And VENT, VENT, VENT!!!!!
