The video capture software is already included in the CD that comes with the Video capture card... But if you needed an alternative software, try Ulead Video Studio 7, works perfectly on me.

It says that it doesn't need a driver since it follows a universal driver included in windows. Disconnect the scanner from the Comp, Try 'page counting'. If the papers go through, then you know feed mechanism is okay. if the tray is not lifting, then you have a problem. Use Qumatool software and check if the tray is lifting. If the scanner tray if lifting then the motor is okay, if not, the lifting motor may need a check.If the motor is okay, but tray not lifting means the sensor in the paper tray is faulty. Check this out.

There are two versions 2.0 and 2.3. One of them converts to PDF without PAFCV2.dll load error. Try and down load from http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0022439.asp?model= Incase this doesnot work, you need the other version.
I generally dont do direct conversion to PDF. I clean the images, create multipage and then convert to PDF and hence don't know which version works. I have both versions. Incase the downloaded version does not work, pls send a mail to [email protected] I shall send you a copy.

Please run Scandisk on your computer. If the problem persists even after this, reinstall OS. You need to reinstall other applications also.

I have not used CapturePerfect 3.0. Hope the scanner is just fine. Try count only mode to check if it is okay.

Uninstall Captureperfect. Run chkdsk/scandisk to check if OS is ok. Reinstall Captureperfect again and it should work.
