1- remove the wall plate from the arm. 2- fix the front plate to the back of your television. 3- mark the position of the holes and drill 4- put wall plugs into holes. 5- secure the wall plate to the wall 6-attach the arm to the wall plate. 7-hang the screen on the arm (i recommend having someone help) and secure it in place
It should work with the LG 47". you need to find the correct bolts that fit the mounting holds on your TV. There should be a bag of bolts packaged with the Omnimount.
Several people are killed every year by having insecure wall mounted TV's fall on them.
You would be advised to screw into stud-work if possible. Otherwise use hollow wall fixing bolts (toggle type) to make sure that the screws don't pull out.
Finally figured out the correct arrangement or configuration through trial and error (and my wife's puzzle solving ability). It sure wasn't clear in the instructions, and I could not get the needed information from the website of either the manufacturer of wall mount system or TV...a little frustrating, but perseverance paid off. Given the price of the wall mount, I would think they could do a better job.
