I HAVE AN ORION TV AND I HAVE AN RCA UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL AND I CAN'T PROGRAM THE TVTO THE REMOTE AND I HAVE READ THE MANUAL AND SAID PRESS AND HOLD SET UP AND I DON'T HAVE A BUTTON ON IT THAT SAYS SETUP THE ONLY THING THE REMOTE HAS ON IT IS A SAT.CAL,TV, ON AND OFF BUTTON,VCR.DVD GOBACK BUTTON,UP CHANNEL DOWN CHANEL,VOL UP VOL DOWN,MENU,OK BUTTEN,THE NUMBERS,SLEEP BUTTEN,INPUT BUTTEN, AND REVERSE,PLAY,FORWARD,RECORD,STOP,AND PAUSE BUTTEN.
PLEASE HELP ME TONIGHT.

We have just moved and at moment cannot find remote. Used top TV buttons to turn on and watch then daughter used the DVD facility on the side and now cannot turn it back to Freeview as buttons do not have an OK button. U must press and hold the botton titled as code search until the red light is lit. Once you do so, you program in one of the 3-4 digit codes. I am actually dealing with the same delema. I have an Orion tv except i have no clue what the code for it is. If you could help me out with the code that would be great

For other devices, try the remote code finder http://remotefinder.rca.com/default.aspx?site=rca . Try the search twice if it gives you a problem the first time. At times, the search engine has server issues. Please note that if the remote was programmed less than 6 months after the TV was released or is older than the TV, the code you need may not be part of the programming. In that case, you need a newer remote or one that is programmable (via a computer's USB port for example).
A variety of remote control codes can be found at InsigniaProducts.com; just search for your TV model number and click Support. Also, try codes for the following brands: Orion, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Sylvania, Zenith.
I can help you reprogram your RCA RCR311ST for all your Orion TV. The folks at RCA did away with a code search button for this model and you must press a combination of buttons to setup programming more.
Orion has made Emerson,Sansui, Admiral, Memorex, RCA, Toshiba, Insignia, Akai and Zenith.
Try those codes. You can call Orion at 800 289 0980. I think the replacement remote for the FTDV2004B is less than $20.
