There is a load high pitched noise coming from the back what is it
What happens in this case is a small transformer or the high voltage transformer vibrate hard enough to make that sound--not loose or bad but can cause the vibration.
I have seen in customer's homes where it was loud enough to chase cats right out of the room even in a large room.
Two ways to deal with this----with the set apart locate the part by ear or even probing with a plastic tool---when you press close to it, the sound will diminish or go away.
Believe it or not (in our shop) once located we use a hot glue gun to take the sound away---
usually if very loud it is the high voltage transformer on the main TV board (see photo of a typical one) not on the black part but on the iron like (it is a different material) core that looks like a U bolt.
it can irritate but poses no danger.

Laura Have you tryed to unplug the unit for a bit and try pluging back in to the wall and press the eject button before anything else!! if that dosent work try pressing and holding the power button and at the same time press the eject button. If that dosent work then theres a mechanical or electrical fault thats causing it to not function vproperly and its time for a repair person to assit you. Good Luck

To see RCA's code list you probably need their website but Emerson is one of several names now owned and built by Funai, who also builds Symphonic & Sylvania.
You might want to try those codes with your set.
