Someone with appropriate tools and gauges will have to do it.

SOURCE: new chest freezer not getting cold

I am having the same problem. How long did it take?
I bought mine second hand and think it may be broken. I plugged it in 8 hours ago. I can hear it running but it's not cold yet.

SOURCE: chest freezer not getting cold after moving

IS the compressor running? If so u probably cracked a line and lost the refrigerant charge.

SOURCE: chest freezer motor runs but the inside doesn't

Sounds like you have a bad compressor or it has lost the gas charge.

Only top section of chest freezer is freezing

Hi
Normally what causes the refrigerator/lower chest not to be cold enough is that the fan that pulls the air from the freezer is not working.
Check to make sure it is working, if not then you will have to replace it.
If it is working then check you defrost timer, it could be faulty.
I will include these two websites for parts.

I cleaned my freezer and now it won't freeze

When you say "cleaned", did you defrost it? And. if so, could you have damaged the internal lining? Often the coil inside the wall of a chest freezer can fracture if hit or stabbed at during defrosting.
Other than that, is the compressor running (you would hear it)? it may have overheated. If not running, see if it feels hot (siezed) or cold (no power from thermostat). If cold, put it on fast freeze and see if it kicks into life (thermostat faulty) or not (compressor fault, time for a new freezer!)
Let me know how you get on!

I have a woods chest style deep freeze and the lid is very cold on the outside, but the sides are room temperature and the freezer works fine. Why is the lid cold and how can I fix it

Yes, the freezer temperature means the lid gets very cold. Every time you open it some moisture condenses in the lid and the outside ambient also affects it. The insulation may be beginning to break down and the ice is forming inside. It is not a major problem however and many freezers go on for years with freezing lids!

Does the kenmore cold spot chest freeze model 253.8193610 have a defrost timer

Chest freezers don't normally self defrost. They just freeze. To defrost them, you must shut them off.

Chest freezer repair

I had the same problem with an upright and so I bought a piercing valve and charged the compressor with 134R and has been working great since.
