The stickiness is caused by the chemical breakdown of the rubberized material that is covering the plastic, almost like a coating of paint. Isopropyl Alcohol will clean this defective rubberized material off and then the handles will no longer be sticky. I used 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and it was a bit of work. A higher percentage solution would work faster and easier.
Ok as they are sticky it means you have eft them out side or in the rain
simply just put cling film over the top of the handles it realy works !! :)
try it it works it happend to me !! ~X
Hi - I have had this with the Techno XT - Luckily I have found a fantastic company in Spain, but they do have a website in UK. Its called Buggy Socks. They make socks that slip over the handles which either preserves your handles or provides a solution for the sticky handles of the maclaren. I love mine, they come in loads of cool colours etc and are washable too. A great price too even with postage . Paula

Great solution great product!! Excellent quality foam rubber grips.
Buggy Handle Socks - I make them and sell them on Ebay for under 5 pounds. Cheap and effective solution which means you don't have to send the buggy away for repairs. It also helps us save towards my daughter's University fees!

I have exactly the same problem, however our buggy has had some serious use and the handles are very worn, evrything else ok on the buggy apart from the sticky handles that also leaves my hands black. I do not want to resort in using clingfilm, all I want to do is purchase new handles if possible!
