If caps there not puffed or leaking voltages in and out of the power board must be checked next (right at turn on of the set) to see which come up and or instantly go off....this is the place to begin.

Testimonial: "Quick response thanks What could it be if its not the power board? The logic boards wouldnt do that would they "

I am in the same situation with the exact model pn43d450 tv.
I looked on the internet and i tried to do my best.
1: change the source board-nothing happened
2:change the logic board -nothing happened
So now i think this TV belongs to the dumpster now along with that annoying clicking sound and Samsung will have one client less.(tv was 3 months old but because i was using it in the Bahamas ..no service:))

poke it open, you'll find bloated capacitors at power supply board. biggest one, with power cord pluged into. replace with thesame value(s).
you good to go!
don't lie, next time! your set has been acting up fpr a while, before it quit. Remembering: few attempts to turn it on, then it works!
good luck.

The power supply part number is BN44-00159A. You can also download the info from this link. It's the service manual.

I doubt that moisture damaged the SMPS bd.
There are many circuit boards in your set and it will take a trained samsung tech to find the problem.

SOURCE: SSP-R4232 Plasma TV, blue light on, but tv wont turn on.

At this point it appears that your main board is probably bad. You most likely have a 5 volt scource going to the main board but its not powering up the set. The main board is part number BN94-00796A.
You might want to have a technician look at the TV to verify this as the issue before purchasing it. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thank you.

It was not your power board, Thought the same on several repairs.Found out it was the main board. The clicking was the tuner relay. I bet you own a SP-R4232. If so,The part you need is BN41-00574A. Also might be under BN94-00669A. Hard to find. Try Shop Jimmy/Or Encompass Parts. Not cheep tho. Hope this info helps.
Have a happy new year. Todd

Samsung TV PN43D450A2D powers but no sound no picture

If you've got an issue with your Samsung TV light blinking red 5 or 6 times when you try to turn it on, it's likely that you've got an issue with the power board of your TV.

Replaced the power supply board on my plasma tv. Now have a snowy picture on all inputs. Green light on the logic board blinks evenly. No puffy caps. Is there another board that needs to be replaced?

After the power supply board replacement, Va & Vs voltage adjustment is a must and necessary for the proper working of the plasma display panel. Do it. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

Samsung tv when I power the Tv on I hear 5 clicks and then it powers off ?

HI Junius,
Repairing plasma TVs is a highly difficult, complicate and skilled job. Components are also expensive. There may be several reasons for this problem. Well if you are handy with repairing, you may try checking the power board for some swollen capacitors and hopefully repair your tv. Beyond that, please let some good TV tech take over. Good luck.

Won t turn on

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and precious time.

Try changing the input device to something you are sure works. Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.
